An Affordable Place to Call Home

Workforce Ordinance Income Qualifications and Cost
As Planning Commission Chair, Jeremie has fought for a more inclusive Workforce Housing Ordinance. Citing that the last ordinance missed the mark in addressing the housing challenges that our residents and families making less than $50,000 face. Many people working solely in essential occupations don't even meet the minimum requirements of the ordinance.

Occupations Underserved by Today's Workforce Housing Ordinance
Jeremie believes Ferguson Township needs affordable housing options for everyone and we can achieve that by adopting a true resident centric Workforce Housing Ordinance. The Township needs to conduct and capture a clear affordable housing needs assessment to guide the direction of Workforce Housing reform. Jeremie also wants to lower the Real Estate Transfer tax to a more competitive and comparable rate to our region.
