Meet Jeremie

Jeremie Thompson was appointed to the Ferguson Township Board of Supervisors in August 2022. Previously, Jeremie served as Chair of the Planning Commission where he has collaborated with board members, planning commission members, regional partners, staff, and residents on the Zoning and Subdivision & Land Development Ordinance re-write, the adoption of the Tree Preservation Ordinance, as well as many transportation improvements and housing affordability matters. Jeremie has also served as Township Representative to the Centre Regional Planning Commission. 


Outside of his work on the Planning Commission, Jeremie is currently a Human Resources Associate at Penn State University. In addition, Jeremie is also a freelance Merchandiser for Winston Retail Solutions providing field merchandising services for Adidas, UnderArmour, Levi’s, Samsung and other retail clients. Previously, Jeremie worked extensively in customer service and retail.

Jeremie grew up on a farm with his family, just outside of Brookville, PA. He is a graduate of Penn State University, where he earned a degree in Labor and Employment Relations, becoming the first in his family to attend college. Jeremie and his wife Kara are residents of the Teaberry neighborhood and have resided in Ferguson Township for the past 10 years. In his spare time, Jeremie is a Certified National Weather Service Skywarn Spotter, likes spending time outdoors, and enjoys traveling on Amtrak.
